Welcome to the official website of the Alberta Paint Horse Club (APHC).
The APHC is a family oriented club in which people can enjoy their paint horses on many levels, whether you are a weekend rider, a serious show exhibitor or a breeder as there are many activities and programs available.
A quick review of this website will let you know where you can find the information you are looking for starting with the choices available on the top of this Home page:
News - Find all of the latest APHC Newsletters as well as the Foal brag book for your viewing pleasure.  You will also find the Sponsor page which recognizes our generous sponsors as well as give you the forms & information on how you can sponsor the APHC.
APHC Shows - gives you a list of all of the shows that the APHC provides to exhibitors as well as the show schedules & all necessary forms.
Programs & Incentives - On this page you will find PAC information which is the APHA open show point program, Paint Racing & the Solid Paint Bred program that the APHC offers to exhibitors.  All related forms are also posted.
CCF - stands for Canadian Colours Futurity which is the breeder futurity program the APHC offers & replaces the Breeders Stakes & Stallion Service Auction programs from previous years.  You will find all nominated horse lists, placings & tabulations for the aggregate awards offered as well as the Rules & Program overview.
Youth - provides all information on what is going on with the Jr club AjPHC.
Sponsors - is the page which recognizes all of our generous sponsors as well as give you the forms & information on how you can sponsor the APHC - sponsorship is very important for us!
Forms - This page has all forms available necesary for members.
About Us - directs you to the Officers page where you can find out who's who on the current years Board of Directors, the club Bylaws, club Rules & Regulations as well as the information on how to become a member.
Contact Us - Sends a message to the Website Manager.
Home Page - always keeps members updated on what is going on & is frequently updated.

NOTE: Declaration of choice MUST be filled in and submitted with entries to the Olds Show Secretary.  You can either send in with checklist information or drop off at the Show Office before the show starts.

Attention APHC show exhibitors please note the following:
There will be a $10.00 non refundable Number charge at the Olds show - this means you will retain the same number for the entire show season.

There is a 3 Year Old Western Pleasure specialty slot held in conjunction with the Fall Roundup in Nisku.  Entry fee is $250 plus a $40 office fee - deadline is 1 July 2009.
Entry forms are found from this Home Page/Forms/3 Yr Specialty Slot.

The Drayton Valley Showbill is now posted - located from Home Page/Shows/Drayton Valley.  **Team Tournament is offered for the very first time**

Booking stalls at APHC shows

Please note that payment MUST be included when booking your stalls for any APHC show.  No bookings will be accepted if payment is not included with the stabling forms.
Please be sure that all stabling is sent directly to Ron Gutek as listed on the form.

Important Membership Info

5/6/2009 APHC memberships are required to qualify for year end awards and also for CCF. The date of membership is the date of the postmark on your envelope containing your APHC membership application. Download membership forms from the "Forms" tab online and send your membership to Colleen Samela, 39 Woodwillow Bay SW, Calgary, AB T2W 4H6. You can choose to pay your membership at your first show but it is YOUR responsibility, and not the Show Secretary's responsibility,  to ensure it is included on your show invoice.

Reminder of Stabling Form

Please be sure to mail your stabling forms for the APHC shows to Ron Gutek, whose address details are provided on the bottom of our Stabling Forms found on our Forms link.
Please do NOT send them to the Show Secretary Wendy Davis, just the Master Entry forms & copies of horse regsitration, APHA membership card & APHC Membership card.

Fall Show Change

Please note that due to scheduling discrepancies the Fall show in Calgary scheduled 19/20 Sept has now been moved to 12/13 Sept at Amberlea in Nisku, AB.
All details are currently being worked on & will be released as soon as possible.

The APHC is pleased to introduce a new addition to our Fall Show Program, a 3 Year Old Western Pleasure Specialty Slot class.
Entry fee $250.00
Entry deadline 1 July 2009
All entrants must hold a current APHC Membership - please see Forms link for membership details.
*Seperate award for highest placing Non Pro rider!

Here is your chance to exhibit and / or compete with your APHA registered horse at the prestigious Spruce Meadows Masters Tournament in 2009.

Important - Year End Awards Qualification

1/23/2007

YEAR END AWARDS – POINTS

To qualify for year end awards the following conditions must be met:

-          For Open Division Awards the owner must be a member of the Alberta Paint Horse Club

-          For Youth, Amateur and Novice Division the exhibitor must be a member of the Alberta Paint Horse Club.

-          Points will not be tabulated until a membership is acquired, for example is a membership is purchased July 1, points from June and May shows will not count.
