2008 Sale Horses
The
Directors and Selection Committee have met
several times over the last four months
to brainstorm ways to enhance our sale opportunity
to move from a quality sale to a leading
edge opportunity to become the Premier Quarter
Horse Sale in Western Canada.
Our aspiration is to put
in place a selection process that will
offer well bred, built, mannered and fitted
quarter horses for sale to the Western
Canadian buying public. We have the capacity
to assemble 60 to 70 excellent horses
from all ages and all disciplines to meet
said criteria. Also, we want to broaden
the membership of the organization to
enable top quality sale horses to be nominated,
selected and sold at our Annual Fall Sale
at Edmonton Northlands.
We have the venue and audience
that is attracted to Northlands in November
during their Equine Week and we have been
a very good sale competitively for years.
Can it be better? We collectively feel
as a Board that there is a need for a
high quality marketing opportunity for
this industry.
We have assembled a selection
committee that represents some of the
larger mare and stallion bands in the
Province of Alberta. Arguably all of the
members on the selection committee have
been long term players in the Alberta
Quarter Horse industry and all have volunteered
and committed their time to working towards
a satisfying marketing opportunity for
both buyers and sellers of quality stock.
We encourage your interest,
your support and your nominations to bring
this all together in Edmonton in November.
Our contact information is well publicized
in our web site and advertising program
which will be rolled out in our great
Western Canadian publications shortly.
