36th Annual Fall Sale Results

November 7, 2009 marked the 36th year of our Alberta Quarter Horse Breeders’ Group Fall Sale held in conjunction with Edmonton Northlands at the Northlands AgriCom, Edmonton, Alberta. Jerry Kanewischer was on the auction block and Ron Anderson was once again our pedigree commentator.

Top 5 averaged - $7,740.00
Top 10 averaged - $5,845.00
Overall Sale Average $2,619.00

Monogrammed sheets were awarded to both the consignor and the purchaser for the high selling horse in each of the following age categories and sponsored by: Weanling - Alberta Quarter Horse Breeders’ Group; Yearling - Dudla Ranches; Two Year Old - Twin Arrows Ranch; Three Year Old - Edey Ranches; Aged – Alberta Quarter Horse Breeders’ Group. A monogrammed winter blanket was donated by Brian Hunter of the Remax Real Estate Centre to the purchaser of the Overall High Selling Horse of the 2009 Fall Select Sale.

The Alberta Quarter Horse Breeders’ Group held their Annual General Meeting on the afternoon of November 6, 2009 and was followed by a Wine and Cheese Reception for the group membership and Fall Select Sale consignors. This event was sponsored by Bioniche Animal Health Canada Inc. and Equistar Veterinary Services.

Yearling – averaged $1,688.00
Lot #36 – CODY SMOKIN HICKORY (Hickory Smoked Chex x Technique Cody) 2008 Buckskin Mare; consigned by Lorie Engbrecht; purchased by Patrick Dube.

Two Year Old – averaged $2,477.00
Lot #27 – PEPPY PEPPONATOR (High Brow San Peppy x Miss Lena Rose) 2007 Grullo Stallion; consigned by Harry H Neitz; purchased by Sid Compton.

Three Year Old – averaged $3,050.00
Lot #9 – WASPY LEO (Half Way Leo x Champs Waspy Cat) 2006 Bay (Silver) Stallion; consigned by Mike Dodd, purchased by Inga Smith. OVERALL HIGH SELLER - $13,000.00

Aged – averaged $3,650.00
Lot #28 – JUANA BE A BODEE (Bodee Boonsmal x Tarijuana) 2003 Red Roan Mare; consigned by Loren & Lisa Christianson; purchased by Morris Monias.
