Welcome to Betts Quarter Horses!
News!!! We have decided to have a partial dispersal of our broodmares and young stock. Our second child is off to University in the fall and we've decided the workload needs to be lightened. Our training business is very busy and with one less helper we just need to cut back, so... Some have sold, but there are still some nice animals left. We had four very nice 3yr old prospects, now only two left, check out the Sale Barn! Western Horseman ranks the top bloodlines used in today's working ranch remudas! (Oct 2007) And TWO EYED JACK is #4! DOC BAR is #2! Our biggest goal here at Betts Quarter Horses is to produce a solid minded individual, with a great disposition, willing mind, eye appeal, versatility, and a pedigree to go with it. We believe that the mare is the major player in a breeding operation, and we are very proud of our broodmare band, consisting of bloodlines not often found ON a set of papers anymore. Over the years we have selected and culled according to our goal. We train all our own prospects so we know how they turn out and you can purchase with confidence. We have 3 stallions in our roster, "Two Eyed Bay Buck" (For Sale), son of versatile AQHA Champion "Two Eyed Red Buck" from the famous home of "Two Eyed Jack", The Pitzer Ranch in Nebraska, "Doctor Fiddle" (Reference Sire), grandson of NCHA great "Clark's Doc Bar", and the newest member is "Eyem Still Smokin", a beautiful young buckskin. Visit our stallions page to see pedigrees and accomplishments. We also encourage you to visit www.thepitzerranch.com and see what "Red Buck" has accomplished. These stallions were shown in various events from reining to working cow horse as well as used on working ranches. "Bay Buck's" foals continue to be extremely easily trainable individuals with wonderful dispositions. We also offer over 30 years experience in the training end of our operation. We made our living on the pastures of Alberta for over 20 years giving us a solid background in cattle handleing and horse development. We have a small indoor facility with an 8 stall barn which enables us to train year round, as well as a large outdoor pen with access to cattle. Ken trains full time with a high demand for his abilities to develop a young horse with a solid foudation. He puts an emphasis on reining maneuvers, respect and performing willingly, so they can then go on to any discipline you choose. Any prospects purchased here have been used and pressured at the right times so you can buy with confidence in the colts abilities and disposition. If you're interested in bringing a colt for training, please contact us for details and costs. So, please come in, take a look, and contact us if anything interests you. Ken and Lane Betts and Family
