Blueberry is our youngest stallion here at BK Quarter horses. Imported from the U.S. in August 2008, this gorgeous stud is nothing short of top quality and has that much sought after true blue color to boot. We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to purchase such an outstanding stallion to add to our program.

Blueberry is an amazing individual and all we had hoped for to find in our search for a stallion. He has so much more to offer than just color, with hard to fault conformation, champion cutting pedigree, and a very quiet, laid back disposition. He is well put together, nicely balanced and correct. He carries a powerful build with a wide, well defined chest, a full, square hip which carries down, is low hocked, has a strong forearm, short back, low tail set, good bone, good footed, straight to the ground on all four, is flat kneed, and has a small, attractive head with a large, kind eye. He is good minded, quiet to be around and easy to handle, is gentle with his mares and runs with the geldings without issue.

Blueberry is a natural born athlete with all the right movement for a promising career in cutting and working cow horse. He is catty and quick with lot’s of style, sweep and expression, is sure footed, and is a fluid, graceful, easy mover. He will be entering the show pen as a three year old in cutting and cowhorse snaffle bit classes. Keep an eye out for Blueberry Pepto in the showpen. He won’t be hard to find!

Blueberry is a direct son of the phenomenal cutting horse producer, Peptos Stylish Oak who is an NCHA money earner of $5,680, earning his NCHA Certificate of Ability, and is the sire to earners in excess of $796,200 in NCHA and $30,500 in NRCHA. His offspring are consistently increasing his production record by the day and climbing his name up the Equi-stat charts as a leading All-time sire. He is also the Australian #1 leading sire of Futurity and Derby winners and #3 Leading cutting horse sire. He is the leading producing son of Peptoboonsmal. Peptos Stylish Oak’s red roan daughter, Peptos Stylish Sue just clenched the 2008 NCHA Derby Open Championship with a score of 224! Blueberry Peptos dam, Staretta Chex, is herself an NCHA money earner of $15,640 and still showing, with Blueberry being her first foal. Peptos Stylish Oak

Blueberry will be bred to some of our own mares in 2009 with his first offspring hitting the ground in 2010. He will then be available to select outside mares as a three year old depending on his training and show schedule. With his proven pedigree, appealing color, gentle disposition and outstanding conformation, Blueberry’s future as a sire looks very promising! Check back for Blueberry Pepto’s first foal crop. They should be stunning.
