~ Training ~

In 15 years of training colts, Beau has had the opportunity to train hundreds of young horses of many different breeds in a wide variety of disciplines. Specializing in working cow horse, cutting, team roping and ranch horse competition training, he has experience showing, competing and consistently placing in each of these events.

While successfully showing BK Quarter Horses own stud, Scat Kat Solanos, Beau has also done very well showing clients horses in cutting, working cow horse and reining which he had started from two year olds. Beau will also start campaigning our new stallions, One Time Mooner and Blueberry Pepto in 2010 snaffle bit classes while also bringing some of our young mare prospects to the showpen.

Beau has worked at various feedlots in Alberta, such as Roseburn and Western, while also being the main trainer for Little Rock Stables in Okotoks, AB. He has met and had the opportunity to learn from great horseman along the way—such as Todd Snodgrass and John Swales

Whether your looking for a two year old started or an older colt tuned up, our training program can accommodate any age of horse.

Our training facility includes a 60 ft round pen, a 60ft x 40ft sand indoor riding arena (for cutting), many sections of open prairie to put on miles and over 1800 head of cattle. Colts in-training can be exposed to daily ranch work, including sorting, branding, calving-out, checking pens in the feedlot and rounding up pairs.
