OHHA Offers Chance at Free Tuition
The Ontario Harness Horse Association is once again offering its members the chance to win tuition to a course offered by the Equine Science Certificate Program at Equine Guelph.
The Equine Science Certificate program allows students to study equine science affordably and conveniently, using the internet on their own computers.
The tuition winner will have the opportunity to acquire the latest skills and knowledge about horses.
Courses cover six areas of equine science: anatomy, exercise physiology, nutrition, health and disease prevention, growth and development, and management of the equine environment. Successful completion of all six courses earns the student a certificate in Equine Science from the University of Guelph.
The winner receives tuition and study resources for any one of three courses: Equine Health and Disease Prevention, Equine Functional Anatomy, or Management of the Equine Environment.
Value is $495, and students may need to purchase the required textbooks(s).
All courses begin May 7, 2007 and continue for 12 weeks.
For more information about the computer requirements, and for detailed descriptions of the courses, surf to equinesciencecertificate.com.
Eligible entrants are adult OHHA members and their families. Previous winners and OHHA employees and their families are not eligible. The winner must have use of a computer that is connected to the internet.
This is a university-level course and the winner should expect to spend seven to 12 hours a week on the course, beginning May 7, 2007.
