Trick Horses
Am getting some response on the request for trick equines. I might set up a little site for all the “trick ponies” if any of you are interested.
When I was a kid I had a horse that I taught to rear and bow. She would actually walk on her hind legs. I was so proud of her. The above image is a scan of an old slide that is of her and I.
I personally think this is a great opportunity for some of us to “play” with our horses. And how cool would it be to see your favorite horse in a movie?
We are having a meeting with the movie people early next week so if you think you have a suitable pony for the “house walk” or a horse that lays down on cue or rears on cue, be sure to send us some pictures and info right away.
Am barely keeping up with work right now. My mom passed away last fall and we are having her farm sale on Saturday. Mom lived through the depression and after seeing what all was in the 12 (no kidding) little graneries and buildings she had filled to rafters besides a big barn and house….. we can truly attest to the fact that she never threw anything out. Our kids (who are helping us with this enormous cleaning job) tell us we have to get rid of our own junk soon. This all just reminds you how short life is. Get out there and ride your horses (or teach them some tricks) and have fun.
Lynn
