2007 Broke Horse Sale Results
Our goal is to give the people out there that have these well broke grade horses that are exceptional animals a market that dose not involve the meat buyer. So we decided to host a sale and have in the past 2 years had a booming success. We do not only take grade animals but all breeds of horses. As an example for the past 2 years Equinox Acres has put horses in our sale, this year they had 3 in. These horses are Single footing Gaited Horses Registered with NASHA they are beautiful animals. Of the 3 in the sale 2 sold Lot #30 Equinox Grumpy brought $1500, and Lot # 39 Equinox Bronco brought $1100. We had a very large crowd come out for the sale on a very hot summer day. Out of 53 horses 6 were pulled on sale day due to a flue epidemic that had hit in the area and of the 47 we had in our sale 35 of these sold. There was 2 very well broke and beautiful teams at our sale that were exceptional of these only one team was purchased. Thelma & Louise were a Clyde cross team of black and white mother and daughter, brought a price of $3000.
We had some registered horses that from some well known breeders in the area that had some young horses they wished to place in our sale. Veronica Bedard of VBR Quarter Horses listed two of her horses off of her stallions one was a big solid mare that brought $1500, and the other a big gelding that sold for $1300. Also Frank Pratt listed a reg. quarter horse gelding that was started on barrels that brought $ 4000.![]()
A reg. paint roan gelding that was consigned by Gil Werklund and was used to work cattle in the pasture sold for $4500, Gil was the person who sold the high selling horse the first sale we held bringing $6000. We greatly appreciate him listing with us a second
