Carl & Mary Ellen Wilson 50 Year AQHA Award

Congratulations to Carl & Mary Ellen Wilson on being awarded the 50 Year Breeder Award by the AQHA. One of only 120 breeders to have received this award, the Wilsons are the only Canadians so far. Although they presently live west of Rimbey, they spent many years near Sundre. They have been well known throughout Alberta in the rodeo and show world. Many horse events were hosted at their ranch. They also hosted “The Gathering” a cowboy music and poetry event. True lovers of the American Quarter Horse, the Wilsons have produced horses that could do a wide variety of events and do them well. From trail riding in the mountains to winning cutting championships, moving cattle to pasture to rodeo events they have enjoyed many adventures with their horses.

Thank you for all the years you have contributed to the breed and may you enjoy many more years with your Quarter Horses.
