Help Me Sell My Horse
Today as I was working on the beach… what’s that you say? Sitting on a bench looking out to sea can’t be work?… I decided that when I get home I am going to dig the 3 geldings I want to sell out of the herd and use them as models to post a series on marketing horses on the Northernhorse.com Classifieds.
From blanketing, feeding and grooming to photographing and describing them in the ad we hope that all of you who have been successfully marketing on the Classifieds will share your tips and ideas with us and all of our readers. I am going to try out as many ideas as possible on my models.
We leave for home tomorrow morning. It’s a two day trip for us. So maybe Thursday or Friday I will get the boys in and get started. I am thinking that putting them on a nice round bale of hay and blanketing them would be a good place to start? They have been running out on winter pasture with the herd for most of the winter so are probably pretty scruffy looking. I will get pictures before I dress them up in their new costumes. Please help us out with any tips or suggestions you can think of. You can just reply by clicking on the “comment” button below this post.
Oh, and by the way, about working on a bench on the beach? I thought up a whole website design for a site I am working on. Very productive. And… very enjoyable. I am going to miss the sea.

If you feed them oats, mix it up with ground flax, or if you dont have any, crush up whole eggs, yes shell and all with molasses in the feed, they will be shining like diamonds by the time they finish shedding out!
BTW I think this is a cool idea.
