This week we have lots of new things to tell you about on Northernhorse.com

Anybody who has been using our classifieds and having to deal with the scammers will be interested to know that we have set up software to block scammers. Interestingly most come from Nigeria and another small island off of Africa. Too bad people with this much talent and work ethic can’t get a real job.

The girls from Wild Deuce Retreats and Outfitting have moved their site to our servers and are now on Northernhorse.com. They have trail rides, clinics and retreats in the beautiful Rocky Mountains in western Alberta. Their dates are filling up quickly. Wouldn’t this make a nice Mother’s Day present for someone?

We put up three horse sales this week, two of which are coming very soon. The Rocking W Ranch Horse Sale for My 17 and the Saskatchewan 50-50 Sale & Futurity on May 24.

And then there are the “Feature Ads” on the front page of Northernhorse.com. We have resisted putting ads on that page but we have gotten so many requests that we thought we should give them a try. We have limited this section of ads to 5 ads maximum. They are all sold for this week but you are welcome to book for future dates.

That brings us to the new Foal Photo Contest. You can upload the photos yourself (see instructions below the images on the Foal Contest Page and you can vote on the Foal Photo Contest blog page. We are going to end this contest on May 30th.

It was a busy week for us. I should be grateful it snowed and the weather wasn’t too great. I am getting a touch of spring fever and just want to go outside and rake and clean up and plant garden and play with the horses. The symptoms lessen when it looks like a blizzard outside.
