Wild Pink Yonder
Are you all following the blog about the Wild Pink Yonder ride for Cancer? Jane Hurl, the cancer survivor who organized all this is writing on the Wild Pink Yonder Blog about the ride from her hospital bed – long story but one everyone should read if for no other reason than to be amazed at how strong some people are. That story is on their blog also.
So the ride is on the way. Right through the middle of Alberta. It is an opportunity for lots of horse people to join others in the search for a cure. I doubt there is a family that is untouched by cancer. We all know someone who fought the cancer battle and lost. Personally I know way too many who fought the battle and lost. From my step children’s mom who died in her twenties, to my Dad who died in his fourties to my sister in law who is currently taking the chemo and spending her summer terribly sick. And that is only the start of a long list of friends and family we have lost.
So lets get out there. Lets ride for a day (or longer) with the others and show our support. I would love to post any stories and photos any of you have from the ride. Tonight they will be staying in Olds, Alberta so if you are in that area be sure to check them out. I will be meeting up with them in the Innisfail area. Hope to see lots of you there. Don’t miss this opportunity to do something good, ride your horse and make some new friends.
You can read about the ride and view the map of where they are each day on the information page on the Wild Pink Yonder website.
