Medicine Hat Wind

We received these photos in an email. They say they are from a really big wind storm in the Medicine Hat, Alberta area. Anybody know if this is true? Do you think the wind blew all these round bales around like this? Or are we being duped by some folks with some Photoshop skills?

I’m looking around for info on this too. Evidently there WAS a wicked windstorm up that way – http://www.medicinehatnews.com/content/view/123418/27/

It was true… it was a straight light windstorm. Basically tornado velocities but in straight lines. These bales were rolling across the farm yards, across roads and through ditches of some ranch friends we have between Medicine Hat and Elkwater Provincial Park.

Grain bins were blown kilometers away, roofs pulled off, trees stripped of their leaves and/or uprooted.

    Devastating!
