lexus!

We are happy to report that this horse has been found!!!

Sometime this week my coming 3 year old palomino paint filly went missing. We have looked everywhere and asked around with no results. She is a splash overo, with a bald face and 2 blue eyes, she doesn’t look much like a palomino right now as her winter woolies were setting in. She has 3 high white socks, one low white sock, a big belly spot, and lighting strikes on her neck. She is super friendly, and about 15HH right now. Her name is Lexus, or “MilLexus” (her CPHA registration name).

I will be forwarding pictures of her to the auction marts, as I have a deep fear that she will be sold.
Please keep your eyes and ears open for any information on my girl, my cell number is 780-722-4833, my home phone number is 780-941-2131, and I can be reached on my mother or fathers cells as well, Annette (mother) 893-9710, Leonard 780-893-9711.

lexsideheadMore pictures of her can be seen on our website.

Thank you,

Brandi

I am so sorry for you, I will keep my eyes open for her.

If this helps the brooks auction has closed there horse sales for this year. Keep your eyes on internet sales pages, and call all the feed lots as well as the slaughter houses.

I know the thought of your mare going there sounds terrible, but it does happen and if you let them know then you could save her life. I wish you luck .

    Christina.

Lexus..I will be watching for your filly in BC. Many years ago a good friend had the same thing happen, her horse went missing and no sign could be found. I even went and walked the pasture for clue’s and what not..nothing. Then on the neighbours place there was an old house/shed or what ever and the mare had gotten into that and the door shut on her and there she stood..in the shed with the door shut! Even I walked past this old building and it never dawned on me to try to open the door or look in the window. The mare was thirsty but fine!! So take a second look around..even at your neighbour old barns/house’s/sheds/..she may be in there quietly waiting for you to go find her! Good Luck..Keep me posted..Cherie in Barriere BC

First of all I’m very happy to hear you got your horse back!!! I am curious about if your horse was stolen, like how did she end up at an auction? Doesn’t a person have to prove existing ownership of a horse before it can be sold at auction? I’m very concerned because my horse is boarded out at a private acreage and I do not see her every day, more like every second or third day, and now I’m worried that if someone stole her and could sell her at an auction….I don’t know what I would do!!! I hope to goodness it never happens, but I am wondering if auctions do have to be sure that the horses passing through their doors are being sold legally?!!!Or do auctions just sell what ever with no proof? Please if someone knows the laws on this let me know! Signed “worried sick” Thank-you
