Team Canada Seeking Youth Exhibitors

The CQHA is currently seeking qualified youth participants from all across Canada, for Team Canada. Applicants must be Canadian residents and current members-in-good-standing of the American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA), the Canadian Quarter Horse Association, and the provincial/regional Quarter Horse affiliate where they reside. Youth exhibitors from the Canadian Reining and/or Cutting disciplines, or their provincial affiliates, are also encouraged to apply for Team Canada. Those interested in applying as potential candidates (as riders and/or non-competing members) for the 2010 Youth World Cup Team Canada should visit the CQHA web site  www.cqha.ca for the Team Canada 2010 Application package, and Selection Criteria Overview.

Team Canada youth members will be selected by December 31, 2009. Funding for travel and other expenses for Team Canada is cost-shared by AQHA/CQHA, provincial/ regional Quarter Horse Associations, corporate and/or individual sponsors, and team members’ families.

AQHA or AQHYA members-in-good-standing, are eligible to be members of CQHA for no additional membership fee. However, they must register with facsimile CQHA by completing the on-line membership application form or by contacting the CQHA President directly to request the membership form be sent by regular mail or by facsimile.
