PLEASE DON’T ENTER THIS CONTEST NOR VOTE ON THE ENTRIES. IT IS OVER. WE HAVE A WINNER. We will be putting another one up soon.

Because of all the inquires about when the Fall Photo Contest was going to start, I think some of you have been taking advantage of the nice fall days to get some good photos. We look forward to seeing them and hearing the comments of the visitors who take the time to judge them.  A $50 Tim Horton’s or Starbucks Card seems to be a popular prize.

This is going to be a short contest. It will end December 15, 2009 midnight.

I think 941 through 950 RULE! They present the horse world from a realistic perspective – people out there using their horses, and a couple really artistic shots too…

  18. Stephanie says:

#848, love the colors of the leaves. A true “Fall” photo.

  19. Frank says:

some of the photo’s seem not to match the fall theme . however leaves and grass remained green well into september and october due to elnino’s influence so those photo’s will not show the brilliant fall colors , and the horses will not have the fuzzy coats as we would expect under normal circumstances . so it would be unfair to assume they are summer pic’s . thanks to those who submitted pictures with horses as this is a horse site . also those that submitted scenery pic’s as they have also captured the beauty of the outdoors . just cause there was no horse in the pic does not mean you were not riding one at the time .

I just discovered your website. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my photo with all of you. I took photo # 966. It is a long winter in the north country. My daughter, Sarah decided to have alittle fun–dressed up in Grandma’s coat and for a brief moment in the snow, a lucky shot captured a gentle reminder of just how much joy horses bring to us.
I have so enjoyed looking at all of the photos. Horses are such remarkable critters, aren’t they?! These photos have captured so much of what “horse people” experience with their horses. Joy, laughter, friendship, and discovery, whether it is the unexpected things they do, or a new trail. And throughout it all, we learn more about ourselves, as well!
Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to share our photographs with each other.
