Some of our horse people are also cattle producers. For some who like to have those nice big calves in the fall calving season is about to begin. We used to calve cows and more than once have found ourselves in a similar predicament to the folks in the Ben Crane print “Mad Cow Disease”. Amazing how fast those old girls can get that shit covered tail winging around. And how their eyes bulge out. And how much help the calve that you were trying to save was as he was fighting to get off the sleigh and making frantic little bawls to fire up Mama even more.
The prize for this draw is a signed print by Ben Crane called “Mad Cow Disease.

I have looked at it a couple of times and decided that it was just one more thing that I didn’t need to spend time on.
I can totally realte to this picture!!! I remember dragging many a calf in when its cold and the cow chases you and the calf suddenly gets energy to run off the sled when before you had to lift/drag it onto the sled before.
I love networking so yes, I’m on Facebook AND I’m a fan of the northernhorse.com Facebook page! Love the print! It brings a smile to my face and I hope it will grace my walls during the winter season!

Nope! I am not on Facebook. Tried ti for a while and found it a waste of time. However!!!! I really find that it isnt necessary when I can go direct to the site and spend all the time I want looking for what I need or think I need. Much better that way and I am on at least once a day.

I am on facebook a few times a week and am on the Northern Horse website at least once a day. I didn’t realize that Northern Horse had a page on facebook but now that I do I will definetely become a fan of the page. I was on facebook, but remembered Dads words as a child growing up “Fools names and Fools faces shall be seen in public places”, and had by children to remove it. I visit Northern Horse nearly ever day. All the things I have ever seen of Ben Cranes I have liked.
