I enjoy all the clinicians, but I most enjoy those whose events I am ussually not interested in. It reminds me that all horses can benifit from something different and all the events have something in common
Love the Mane Event, most enjoyed the ability to shop at so many different horse related vendors in one place!
We have been to the Mane Event since it came to Red Deer. It is really hard to say which we most enjoyed. The Trainers Challenge is very good, but they also have something for everyone: from correct saddle fitting to the Mounted shooters. And the shopping is fantastic. Definitely something everyone equine should try to attend. Just remember, one day is not enough.
I’ve never been but I’d like to go. I LUV HORSEYS!!!
I love the mane event, it is very informative and the shopping is great!
I have never been to mane event. I was extremly disappointed that I was unable to attend the year stacey westfall was there. I am going this year for sure however. I just booked the hotel this morning. I would love to see clinicians such as Bill Kaven and Jackie Johnson. Jackie is involved in tricks but I think the trust necessary to get the tricks done is essential for all equine/human activities!
I would most like to see Johnathan Field and Ruben Villasenor, but there are several others that also look interestings.
No, unfortunatly I have not been able to make it to the Mane Event in the past. I have heard great things, and plan on going this year or next for sure. I think I would have a hard time choosing 1 clinician to see, as I think I would enjoy all of them. Saying that, if I had to choose just 1, I think I would pick a horsemanship clinic.
Pick me!!Pick me!!Me the one with his hand in the air!!Pick me!!
Yes..I went to the Mane Event two years ago…had a great weekend, and it was girls only. What did I enjoy most, the hunter-jumper clinic, I think it was George Morris. The breed demo’s were awesome. The trade show…the trainers challenge. There was nothing that wasn’t awesome. Great weekend and planning on returning this year for another girls weekend. Can’t wait.
I have never been to the mane event but have heard a lot about it and would sure love to go! I would like to see clinicians that teach about colt starting, working cow horse and reining but any others would be good too as I can always learn something! Thank you
Andrea Klingler
Please enter me in the drawing.

I have been to every Mane Event in Red Deer and 2 in Chilliwack, BC. What I most enjoy is the shopping! Okay I also enjoy the trainers challenge and the clinics, and the speakers, but there is a lot of shopping!
Never been but would love to attend. I would like to see barrel clinician
I went to the Mane Event in Red Deer in 2009. It was a WONDERFUL weekend. THe days were packed full with wonderful clinics and BEAUTIFUL horses. The Evening of the Horse on the Saturday was INCREDIBLE!!! I had tears in my eyes watching the beauty and majesty of the horses. I hadn’t watched any of Jonathon Field’s presentations because I watched all the “Round Pen Training”, but I saw him at the Saturday Evening, and I know who I want to watch in 2010!! A perfect weekend!
I have been to the Mane Event before and really enjoy all of it…from watching the clinicians to browsing all of the booths. I bougth a beautiful yearling show halter last year for my filly that I was struggling to find as she has such a petit head. The people had lots of great information to share and were so nice, i am looking forward to going again this year.
I have been to the Mane Event the past two years and I have thoroughly enjoyed!! This years line up of clinicians is astounding! I am so excited to learn, network and shop! Previously I have enjoyed Jonathan Field, Dana Hokana, the Trainers Challenge and numerous others.
I just wanted to let you know what a great job you are doing with this website. I am sure you know this by how it has grown over the last few years.
It is the home page on my computer and I browse it website almost daily!
I’ve been to the Mane Event every year it has been in Red Deer. My favourite part of every year is the awesome shopping.
I have never been to the mane event. I have heard so much about it and hope to make it this year. I don’t have a specific preference of what type of clinician I would like to see as I think every clinician has something special to offer anyone willing to watch and be open minded! No 2 people are alike and I think it is great as individuals that we have an opportunity to learn things that will allow us to have our own technique while also being able to share valuable knowledge to other horse lovers!
Went last year and LOVED it!! I really liked everything. The trainers challenge was exciting to watch and the booths were full of great ideas and products!! I will be back again this year!!
I have attended all of the Mane Events in Red Deer as well as a couple in Chilliwack. I would not miss these shows and I have enjoyed each and everyone. The diversity of what is available to see is wonderful. Even though I may not have a vested interest in some of the shows.. I am never surprised at what that amazing creature called the “horse” is capeable of. Each venue shows the passion and love for the horse that is paramount as far as I am concerned. I enjoy the atmosphere and the excitement from Friday to Sunday…..and will keep returning each year. Wonderful weekend for all horse lovers…..keep it up!!!!! See you in Red Deer!
My husband and I were able to attend the Mane Event last year for the Saturday and Sunday. The ironic thing we found was the sessions we attended as a ‘filler’ before or after the ones we were really interested in turned out to be the ones we gleaned the most information from. My husband previously thought western pleasure was about as entertaining as nap time at the local old folks home, but he quickly learned there is a lot more to it than just going slow and having a killer outfit! We wandered over to the hunter under saddle session, again a class he thought reserved for large, dark, highly braided horses mundanely trotting their way around a ring with the prize going to the biggest, darkest of them all. By the end of the seminar, he could actually understand what a good mover looks like, and was surprized to see a little buckskin pony, a midget among giants, bravely circling the arena. It allowed a door to learning to be opened at an affordable, open-mined event, breaking down invisible barriers in our own minds, and allowing a glimpse into others world of enjoyment which is all part of the love of the horse. Starting young horses would be the clinic of choice.
I’ve been to the Mane Event every year! I love seeing clinicians that I would not normally have access to. Its a great event.
Been every year to Mane Event, and always come away with good tips/information.
It is a good idea to print off the different speakers and plan ahead who you want to see.
My favorite part of course is the SHOPPING !!
I loved the trainers challenge the most, seeing those 3 yr olds going from unbroke, to a gentled horse that could be ridden was amazing.
I have attended the mane event the last couple of years and have always enjoyed it. The shopping is great and being able to watch some of the clinicians is a wonderful opportunity. I hope to attend againthis year!
I’ve never been to a Mane Event weekend.
I most admire clinicians who have the horses’ best interest in mind; who aren’t too pushy in their training and wanting to just get on or teach a concept, but really listen and pay attention to the horses’ body language and needs. If that makes any sense.
I would absolutely love to attend this weekend event!
Hi I have never had the chance to go to the Mane event and everyone I know that goes just loves it. I would go see a clinician that helps out with horses that have had trauma in their lives. We have come across horses in this situation and would love to know how to best help them. Thanks for the opportunity for someone to be able to go to this event.
No, i have not ever been to the main event. I would like to see Jonathon Field if he is their. And i would also like to see Richard Caldwell. if he is there. Thank you very much.
I was able to attend the first one they had in Red Deer and really enjoyed it. Would love to check it out again this year.
I have never been to the Mane Event. I would love to go as I am getting back to showing horses and there would be alot of great information, clinics, beautiful horses and other things to see!
I have never been to the Mane Event but I hear it is fabulous! I would like to see all the clinicians as they all have great ideas and “ways” of dealing with horses. I plan on taking my daughter this year!
My family have been regular attendees to Mane Event at Red Deer since moving to Canada 4 years ago. You can always expect top clinicians, expert advice and great demonstrations. There is no equivalent in the United Kingdom and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoy the weekend and look forward to going every year.
Steve Rother was also a great inspiration to my daughter and even although she was only 13 at the time when he came to Red Deer, he took the time to listen to her and give her some advice. Trainers challenge has always been the highlight for us as we had never seen anything like this before.
We will definately be going again this year whether we win the free draw or not – but a free weekend pass would allow us to buy something special for our best friends (our amazing Quarter horses).
Thank you.
Room is booked !! I’ve never been to the Mane Event and am really looking forward to a horse filled weekend of learning and shopping
I have been to the mane event in Chilliwack and have always found it to be a very interesting weekend
I am hoping to be involved in the reining clinics this year. I go every year to watch and to shop.
After a lifetime of dreaming of owning my own horse, my dreams have finally come true and I am so happy to actually be a horse owner. Now I am trying to make up for lost time and immerse my self in the horse world as I aspire to be a horseman (woman). I have never been to the Mane Event but have heard great things and would love to see Jonathon Field live as I have seen some of his videos and am inspired by his understanding of this wonderful animal.
I have been to the Mane Event for the past three years. The overall weekends have been excellent and very rewarding. This year we are planning to attend again to watch the trainer’s challenge, visit the exhibitors and talk to some of the clinicians. In the past, we have especially enjoyed Stacey Westfall and Jonathan Field. We are looking forward to attending this April, this time, to learn more about driving horses.
We have attended the last 3 years of Mane Event in Red Deer. Love It – especially the Trainers Challenge. The shopping and selection is great.
I have not been able to make it to the Mane Event yet, hopefully this year. I would like to take in the trainer’s challenge and also Mike Boyle’s clinic.
I attended the first Mane Event in Red Deer a few years ago and I enjoyed the clinics the most.
th cat snot lettttng metype. onk eybard
I was there last year and hope to attend again this year! Loved Jonathon Feild’s performance during the equine expierence and the trainers challange was fabulous!
I am most interested in watching the trainers challenge
We enjoy the trade fair and the trainers challenge. Sure could use some tickets thanks
booked the room a long time ago, it’s just a great package, the shopping , the horses, the trainers, and you get lots of visiting in with people that you don’t see often.
Hello! I’ve been to the Mane Event once, I found it very informative and was able to purchase the reining saddle of my dreams. I hope to go this year again, depending on the weather. The clinicians have been awesome and I learned a lot when I attended the clinics the first year, even the kinds of riding/clinicans I don’t know a lot about!
i havn’t had the chance to go enjoy the main event yet, but maybe this will be the year.
I know i would really enjoy watching the trainer’s challenge
