I’ve never been to the Mane Event. I would look forward to the shopping and seeing new products. Pick me please!
I was there 2 years ago, but just to pick up a paint horse I had just bought , that was an awesome day , I went in to kill some time but I have never really just gone up to see the events, would love to go see everything I can up there though.
Please toss my name in the bucket, everything sounds good.
CURT PATE!!!!! YAHOOO!!!
Missed the ME last year due to work, and saw Curt years ago in Wisconsin and fell in awe at first sight (with his riding ability of course). I actually have a photo of a pretty nice buckskin paint which I thought was outstanding, and so then took photo. After reviewing back in SK, realized the shy cowboy standing holding the mare was Curt! He likely thought I was taking a pic of him, but in truth was the horse (sad but true). Now of course knowing who he is…love the pic even more!
April will not come soon enough. I plan to do some saddle shopping and love to drool over the hauling rigs they had last time. All around awesome! This year I booked holidays in July 09 for the upcoming event so I don’t miss it. Can’t wait for the trainers challenge.
Favorite part of the weekend is the trainers challenge.
A wonderful local event, chalk full of entertainment, shopping and learning!
I have been wanting to attend the Mane Event for several yeats now and for one reason or another I have always missed it. This year I have already lined up my baby sitter. I”M GOING!!
Have a great time, everyone that is fortune enough to go:)
We go every year to see what’s new and learn.
This will be my second time attending the Mane Event. It’s fantastic!! So much to take in. I’m looking forward to seeing Curt and Tammy Pate, Robyn Hood, and Jonathan Field. Also can’t wait to learn more about Donkey’s/Mules and bitting. So glad they chose to have Mane Event in Red Deer.
I’ve never been to the Mane Event and I’m overdue for some horsey fun.
I have never been, but I would love to go and watch all of the different clinicians and see all of the different vendors!
I have never been to the mane event! But would love to go!
Went last year and would love to take my daughter this year. She would love all the horse stuff!
I have never been to the mane event . We have rooms booked for this year. Heard so many good things about it .I can’t wait.
I have never been to the Mane Event but would love to go! Everyone who I have talked to that has been to the event has loved it and has never had anything bad to say about it. Last year I was supposed to attend but I was very ill so had to cancel. I have been showing horses for as long as I can remember and would love to see Tammy Pate at this years event. I feel it is important to have a well trained horse in the show pen but I think it is equally important to have a special bond and balance with your show horse. I would also like to see Doug Huls as I feel you can never know enough about showmanship and horsemanship.
i would love to have weekend passes i have a horse but when i went last year i went with my mom and my aunty and i barely got to look at tack they wanted to look at the jewelary and cloths so i only got to look at like one station of tack if i got weekend passes i could go with my friends !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoy the Mane Event for the clinics, the trainers challenge and the Trade Show. I get a chance to learn, relax , socialize and shop all in one. My neighbor is one of the Trainers challenge trainers so I want to go especially to cheer him on.! My daughter loves trying out the living quarters in the trailers too.!
This is my first time going to the mane-event.
I really looking forward to it.
I have been to the mane event the past few years with my 4-H Club. I always enjoy the trade show. The clinics are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G I love the horsemanship and western pleasure clinics along with any young horse clinics. This year our club is going! SOOOOOO excited! <3
Hey!!
I have never ever been to the mane event but i would absolutely LOVE to go to it everything there sounds just Awesome!!
Thanks!
I have never been to the Mane Event in Red Deer. I plan on attending this year if all goes well. I would like to see Jonathan Field and other clinicians as well. Marijke van der Water, owner of Riva’s Remedies, is also on my list. She sells herbal remedies for equines and humans. I expect that attending the Mane Event for the first time could be very overwhelming with so much to take in. I find shopping to be very relaxing so I’ll make sure I have my debit card and/or VISA.
This would be the first time to the Mane Event in Red Deer. I am very much interested in learning a thing or two from Curt & Tammy Pate, Robyn Hood, and Jonathan Field.
I am sure my paint mare will appreciate anything I can learn as well…I will tell her to cross her hoofs that I can attend… LOL!
Cheers and happy trails.
April 10th is my 38th birthday!!!! I was born horse crazy and 38 years later I’m still just as obsessed! I’d love to go as I’ve never been. I’m not sure which clinicians will be there but I’m a big fan of Julie Goodnight and pretty much all the natural horsemanship trainers. That and I just want to go and gaze adoringly at all the horses!
I was able to go to the Saturday night show 2 years ago, I hope i can go this year too and maybe even drag my dad along (literally)!
Went to the Mane Event for the first time last year.. It was well worth attending. Learned new tips with regards to traing by watching the trainers work with the young horses. We are definitely attending again this year.
Looking forward to attending this year as I have every past year! Love everything about the Mane Event, especially when something new is introduced like the Mounted Shooters. My credit card is empty and ready to go to work….just love the shopping.
Good luck to everyone!
I went last year and loved every moment of it! One day was NOT enough! I am planning of going this year all weekend, and look forward to taking in lots of clinics. Last year I enjoyed Dana Hokana most.
Have never been but it sounds like I could really get some valuable info out of it.
John
Please enter me in the draw! Thanks!
I went to the mane event last year. It’s hard to try and fit everything in. Plan on going for the whole weekend this year. Great shopping too!
Love the atmosphere, visiting with friends, watching & learning…there is so much to see!!!
This is my first time to go to the main event, i’m looking forward to it.
I went a few years ago with my children & we all had a great time. My husband & I both like the colt starting clinics.
I loved the mane event. I went about two years ago with my bosses and the absolute BEST part was a gentlemen retailer asking my female boss if she would like to buy something for my daughter. BOY was my boss preturbed… But I sure did laugh at that one! Two years later, I still havent let that go.. I keep telling them that she was already called my mother once, she might as well adopt me now!
Went last year and loved it. Really enjoyed Jonathan Fields clinic. He is so awesome! This year I want to take my younger, horse crazy cousin with me. We can shop and learn and just have a great time.
I have heard a lot about the Mane Event, but have never been, winning tickets would be awesome, The clinicians look vert interesting. I would love to go
We have never attended the Mane event. We always seem to have conflicts on the weekend it comes to town. My husband and I were just talking about attending this morning and trying to decide which day to go but from the sounds of it there isn’t one day thats better than the other. Maybe we need to go each day to get the whole experience.
The clinicians that interest me the most are Bob Myler, Nick Karazissis & Jan Ebeling. When yoiu ride english and live in the mountains it sometimes feels like I am a purple spotted toad. Very rare.
I hope to be able to connect with other equestrians who share my passion & see what new trends are starting.
I’d love to enter the draw! Enjoyed the mane event last year!
Hi, my name is Grace and I am 10 years old. I really want to go to the Mane Event because I have never been there before. My riding coach tells me it is amazing. I also want to go there becuase of all the stuff there is to buy (I could spend a weekend in a tack store). I would like to see the hunter/jumper events because that is what I have been practising with my own horse since I was 8 years old.
We’ve enjoyed going to the Mane Event several times in the past. It’s a great place to shop, learn and get together with like-minded friends. Looking forward to going this year again.
This will be my first time attending and I am looking forward to the many points of view on the horse, and everything that goes along with horeses. The educationaly valve of this kind of viewing, by far will be exceptional. If I come away with one learned idea that will bring me closer with my horses, it will be worth the trip. Thank you for hosting such an event.

I have never been to the Mane Event but would really like to attend. I’m interested in pursuing horse training as a career and love any chance to further my abilities and knowledge. I’d love to see Mike Boyle in order to learn more about raising and training reining horses.
I have been to the Mane Event for the past two years that it has come to Red Deer. I really enjoyed the presentation I watched on the Game Ready system as well as when I listened to Gary Leffew’s presentation on mental preperation. The Trainer’s Challenge is also always good, I can always come away with something that I want to try on my own colts.
If you get a chance to go, then do. It is alot of fun.
Love the Mane Event. Have been every year, and never disappointed! It is a wonderful escape into the horse world. A joy to sit and learn and socialize with friends!
Work has always prevented attendance. Not this year. Yahoo!!! Sooo much to see…expect I’ll be tired by the end of the weekend.
I’m a new (green) horse owner and I’ve never been to the mane event so I am interested in seeing and learning as much as possible. My son is a horse lover and is planning to attend with his 4H club.
I have never being but would love to go.
