The competition winner was Maverick – an 8 year old gray grade quarter horse gelding consigned by Terry Andersen and ridden by Ricky Anderson.   Terry went home with $1500 in prize money plus a fancy buckle sponsored by Pheasantback Golf & Country Club – Jim Risler.  Maverick sold for $6500 to Davis Cox who was presented with a jacket donated by Tom’s Boots in Stettler.

The high selling horse was a 3 year old palomino AQHA gelding prospect consigned by Murray & Joanne Pole and sold to Bailey Durie of Bashaw.  Stormy Ice by Tug Two Chex out of Docs White Ice sold for $7000.

The competition horses averaged $4311/hd, the prospects averaged $2314 with the overall sale average being $3438.  The sale of prospects definitely underscored the value of training in these top ranch horses.

Thank you for all your efforts at Northernhorse.com in promoting our competition and sale.  It definitely had a strong influence in the success of the show.
