Stettler Ranch Horse Competition and Sale
The competition winner was Maverick – an 8 year old gray grade quarter horse gelding consigned by Terry Andersen and ridden by Ricky Anderson. Â Terry went home with $1500 in prize money plus a fancy buckle sponsored by Pheasantback Golf & Country Club – Jim Risler. Â Maverick sold for $6500 to Davis Cox who was presented with a jacket donated by Tom’s Boots in Stettler.
The high selling horse was a 3 year old palomino AQHA gelding prospect consigned by Murray & Joanne Pole and sold to Bailey Durie of Bashaw. Â Stormy Ice by Tug Two Chex out of Docs White Ice sold for $7000.
The competition horses averaged $4311/hd, the prospects averaged $2314 with the overall sale average being $3438. Â The sale of prospects definitely underscored the value of training in these top ranch horses.
Thank you for all your efforts at Northernhorse.com in promoting our competition and sale. Â It definitely had a strong influence in the success of the show.
