Wild Pink Yonder Ride for Cancer
We thought it time to remind everybody that it’s a scant 55 days away from our start date, so if you’re one of those procrastinators, now’s the time to get that registration in.
As you will see on the map (http://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?client=firefox-a&hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=114259023932745719916.00047723215f689fa2cae&z=7) everything is set.
Just the other day CFCW signed on as a sponsor, so with that, the ride into Camrose (or “Campink” as Jackie Rae called it during our meeting) ought to be interesting. Jackie Rae plans to meet with the Campink Chamber of Commerce this week coming up. (From what I’ve been told, Campink has already done their “Welcome to Camrose” flower bed as a huge pink breast cancer ribbon! Very cool.)
Global Television has decided that I am “A Woman of Vision”, so they plan to come out and get footage of the ride in Camrose and/or Wetaskiwin, Leduc, Millet. So, if you’ve not decided when you want to ride, please make it then. We’d like to have a full house when they’re shooting … and besides, then we’ll all wind up on Global News! How cool is that?
Do you know anyone who’d like to volunteer to drive trucks with (empty) horse trailers for us for a day or two? We need all the drivers we can find.
That’s it for now. I expect you’ll start hearing from me a little more often as we close in on “go”.
Happy trails.
