it is agreat site i look at it all the time
All of the horse experts sound amazing – but it would be a treat to see Frank Madden.
I attended a auction sale west of Moose Jaw, Sask last week and was very upset. I would say that about 90% of the horses went to meat plants. 20 of these horses were bred mares and there were a lot of colts and fillies that were shipped to feed lots. A lot of these foals were registered Quarter Horses and Paints. There was nothing wrong with these foals, they were really nice. Some were even led in and you could tell that they already trusted people and were very gentle. What in the world is Canada thinking. Horses are meant to be loved not slaughtered!!!! I do not care if France wants horse meat. What is next China wants dog and cat meat??????? Something has to be done about this. The ranchers selling these animals are making nothing doing it. Most of the young horses sold between 25.00 and 150.00. They would make more money raising dogs. Please post something on your sight. Most people have no idea that this is going on or most just turn a blind eye. I understand the lame, unsound, old horses but bred mares and young horses, are we a sick society. What can we do????
