Wild Deuce hosted their 4th Annual Working Mountain Horse Competition & Select Sale this past weekend (September 26-28).  This is a weekend you will mark on your calendar year after year. The owners Chuck & Terri McKinney and Brenda Winder have gone out of their way to bring the best of the mountains to you on Terri’s family ranch.  The response has been shown in the numbers of the folks coming out to watch these amazing girls and their horses.  The weekend went from a two day event to three to fit in everything the girls want to teach and show the public.   The crowd has doubled each year, to a whopping 950 people attending this great one of kind event! If I didn’t already have a committment for today, I can tell you what I would be doing. I would be going to the Working Mountain Horse Competition. The Wild Deuce Girls ride out in the west country all summer and then bring their horses who have a summer full of experience to the competition and sale. Actually folks can bring their own horses and compete in the Friday competition. There is another whole competition on Saturday for just horses that are going in the sale. Then the sale on Sunday. There is a BBQ, Wild Steer Packing competition, Tradeshow, STARS Silent Auction, Round Pen demo and much more. You can even camp at the location and stay and enjoy the whole weekend. Check out their listing on the horse sales for more info and the listing of the horses in the sale.

Anybody who has been using our classifieds and having to deal with the scammers will be interested to know that we have set up software to block scammers.
