“OTB” 14% Sweet Horse Ration is formulated for horses in performance levels of training and conditioning. It is designed to provide adequate protein to horses along with a balanced amino acid ratio for the horse to ensure all essential amino acids are supplied.
The 14% Sweet Horse ration also has organic zinc, copper, cobalt and
manganese which are readily absorbed through the digestive tract wall into the
bloodstream. Zinc and copper have a high degree of bioavailability to stimulate
healthy hoof growth. Biotin is also promotes healthy hoof
growth.
How much should I feed?
“OTB” 14% Sweet Horse Ration should be fed according to the amount of training per day.
Maintenance (No training) 2.2 – 6.5 lbs/ day (1100 lb horse)*
Light Training (1 – 4 hours) 4.5–10 lbs/day (1100 lb horse)*
* The risk of metabolic problems for the horse can be avoided if the horse is fed more than once a day.
Feeding a high quality mineral with chelated copper, manganese, zinc and cobalt like the “OTB” Equine Endurance Premix is highly recommended for young horses since they are still growing
One should also feed good quality, non dusty hay and allow access to fresh drinking water.
