At
Diamond R, we specialize in performance horses
with quiet minds. We started breeding horses for our own use
since it was so hard to find good horses. Major Jingo has
been our ranch sire since 1993. We bought Major as a yearling
to cross with AQHA mares, as he had all the ingredients for
a great Sire - CONFORMATION, PEDIGREE and especially
his MIND. Major is unshown due to injury as a weanling.
Major
regularly represents the Alberta Paint Horse Club at the
Paint booth at the Calgary Stampede and Spruce Meadows.
At his young age, he has already produced
horses that have excelled in their field, from amateur
to professional ranks, in three day eventing, roping, cow
horse, reining and barrel racing.
We
are also standing one of Major's foals, Majors Major Cowboy,
aka "Cowboy", is a 1998 chestnut tobiano stud. Cowboy
currently stands 14.3 hands and weighs 1100 lbs. Sired by
Major
Jingo and out of a daughter of Major Bonanza, Cowboy
has great athletic ability and extreme cow sense as a heeling
horse.
Look for him at most major shows this season.
