OUR MARES

Mares & Broodmares

Our mares are own daughters of Boon Bar, High Brow Cat, Bet on Me 498, Docs Lena Doc, Genuine Peppy, Skip Zan Parr and Toad's 4 Grand. We also have a thoroughbred mare who is a grandaughter of the great "Secretariat".

The matriarch of our broodmares is COMONICI by BOON BAR. She is a proven producer as shown in our production list.

In 2001, we produced our 3-year old, HIGHBROW CAT mare. CATJUMPEDOVERTHEBOON was busy showing through her 3-year-old year. She was the Reserve Champion at the 2001 BCCHA FUTURITY.

She was also shown at the 2001 CANADIAN SUPREME FUTURITY and they won the CHAMPIONSHIP!

She then traveled to L.A. to the 2001 PCCHA FUTURITY; in the first go she tied for FIRST & SECOND. In the second go she placed THIRD. In the finals she placed fifth. She competed against 288 horses at this show and we are very proud of her accomplishments.

We are looking forward with great anticipation to our 2003 daughter of CATJUMPEDOVERTHEBOON, by "BET ON ME 498", "BETTIN OVER THE BOON" as well as our 2003 new stallion out of our mare "COMONICI" by "BET ON ME 498" to be making their debut in 2006.

We do have another daughter of COMONICI'S out of DOCS LENA DOC that we have bred to "ROOSTER". She has produced a really nice little stud colt. She is also bred to "ROOSTER" for 2006.

The rest of our mares are here at the ranch all in foal to either "JR" or "ROOSTER".

Waiting in the spring for the mares to foal is always an exciting time for us!

He and his traines Lindy Baron both showed "Taz" in the ARCHA in the "Limited Working Cow Horse" and the "Open"with much success. Last report was they are having a "BLAST".
1997 - DOCS LENA BOON by DOCS LENA DOC
	-This mare was started and showed a lot of natural ability. We decided at that time to bring her home and breedher to "Rooster". She has produced 3 foals ,2 of which are in training with their new owners and willbe hitting the show arena in 2005.The other in2006.
