Rolling hills, hidden valleys, babbling brooks and crisp country air ; all make up the perfect setting for the colorful registered paint horses who call Rippling Meadows Paints home. Situated on the banks of Prairie Creek in the Strachan Valley 20 minutes SW of Rocky Mountain House, Rippling Meadows invites you to come out, have a coffee and talk "paint" with us. I, Ted Gray, my wife Kristina (Tina) and two daughters Julia and Mikenna, along with my parents Dorothy and Franklin have been breeding paints since 1992. After extensive research it was decided that our breeding program would focus primarily on producing western pleasure, youth and amateur prospects. In 1997 Rippling Meadows acquired sorrel overo stallion, Zips Power Play, directly from Yarnelle Farms who are industry leaders in western pleasure. "Zip" spent the next few years pursuing a successful show career and is now retired to stud, reproducing his champion bloodlines, superior personality, natural talent and exquisite "pretty". |
A new 60x100 indoor riding arena accompanies a heated barn with large boxstalls, coffee room and wash bay. Outside mares have the option of being housed inside or outside in safe, foal friendly paddocks. We strive to provide excellent mare care and outstanding customer service along with producing exceptional horses, either for show, breeding stock or pleasure. |
