- Entry fee $375.00 ($350.00 plus $25.00 GST). Consignment
fees MUST be paid in order for
the horse to be catalogued. Entry fee deadline July
30, 2002.
- A 5% sales commission will be charged on all horses sold
or passed out. Passouts must be paid before the horse leaves
the sales arena. It will be the consignor's responsibility
to establish reserve bids with the auctioneer. Transfer fees
will be deducted from the seller's account. Buyers are advised
that GST will be added to the sale price of each horse. Halters
and shanks will be provided for each horse sold and deducted
from the seller's account.
- All horses selling at THE WESTERN HORSE SALE will be
sold according to the laws of the Province of Alberta
- The following items are to be received by July 30, 2002.
- Original registration paper.
- Current signed transfer form.
- Summarized description of sale horse.
- Clear, complimentary picture of sale horse (to be
used in the sale catalogue and internet sale site listing).
- Livestock manifest filled out and dated October 4th,
2002.
- Entry fee of $375.00 payable to "THE WESTERN
HORSE SALE"
- Signed contract form. The seller warrants that
the pedigree and papers are correct and that all information
sent with this application to be true.
- The seller warrants that each horse consigned is sound
(unless otherwise stated) and free of any bad habits (i.e.
weaving or cribbing) and not under the influence of medication.
Violation of this clause will give the buyer the right to
reject said horse. A current negative
coggins test is mandatory.
- All horses in the sale will be inspected at 9:00 AM to
12 noon in catalogue order, on Friday, Oct 4th. Inspection
will be for quality, presentable sale condition
and visible unsoundness. The sale management
reserves the right to refuse any horse nominated into the
sale. Due to the number of sale entries, some selection
may need to take place for a balanced sale.
- A WESTERN HORSE SALE Showperson will be available to
show yearlings at halter. A show halter will be provided.
All other sale horses are to be presented by the owner or
agent with the highest standards of conduct.
- Stall and bedding will be provided at no extra cost.
Stall maintenance, feed and care of the sale horse is the
owner's responsibility. Stalls will be decorated and
pedigree signs posted. Additional decorating by consignors
is welcome.
- If a horse is unable to attend the sale, a substitution
will be accepted, provided all necessary data accompanies
the horse at sale time, otherwise the entry fee will be forfeited.
- As each horse is sold, an "acknowledgement of purchase"
form shall be handed to each buyer for signature. The
horse then becomes the property of the buyer, who assumes
all responsibilities and risks thereafter.
- THE WESTERN HORSE SALE committee accepts no responsibility
in the case of non-payment, but agrees to co-operate in every
way possible to ensure the seller receives full payment or
return of the horse. Transfer forms and original papers
will be forwarded to proper breed Associations. When
buyer's checks have cleared the bank, sale checks will be
mailed on October 15, 2002.
- THE WESTERN HORSE SALE management reserve the right to
decide any point not covered and to correct any error or make
any alterations.
- THE WESTERN HORSE SALE management, auction staff or employees,
accept no responsibility or liability for injury or damage
to persons or horses as a result of attending or participating
in the auction.
