Several years ago a small group of dedicated horse people
had a dream. These folks worked together to build a quality
sale and a fine reputation. Our membership has changed somewhat
over the years but our goals are the same. We want to produce
the best horses we can - horses that work for us and that
can go on and do the same for you. Many good horses have sold
throughout the western provinces and into the northern states.
Our horses are not a passing fancy with us.
We keep them through thick and thin, good years and bad and
we have enjoyed the ride. Some of the industries top bloodlines
are represented here. Great cutting, reining, performance
and pleasure horse pedigrees fill our catalogue and guest
consignors compliment the lineup.
Shamrock is located 1/2 hour south of Chaplin,
Saskatchewan. Chaplin is on the #1 highway midway between
Swift Current and Moose Jaw. Like many small Saskatchewan
towns, Shamrock is struggling to survive. Our school is long
gone, as are our elevators and rail line. As a legacy to the
great community spirit that all small towns pride themselves
on, our rink is the centre of activity all winter long. This
old rink has been home to many a barnburner... provincial
hockey championships, curling matches, cutting competitions
and come the first Monday in August it fills to capacity as
people from near and far come to participate in a great horse
sale and enjoy small town hospitality.
We welcome back all our old friends and look
forward to making new friends. Come by sale day - the coffee
pot is on early.
