Who
We Are: Stampede Ranch for Kids is a residential
home for children and youth with complex behavioral
needs.
We serve boys aged 8-14 years who generally have
status with Child and Family Services. We do accept
out of
province youth on a case by case basis.
We continue to be a family run operation who have
provided services to youth since 1975- that amounts
to over 1000 children.

What
We Do: Stampede Ranch for Kids provides a year
round, non-insitutional home for kids. We have
long term, trained staff who provide structure
and boundaries around the clock. Our staff provide
Milieu therapy with a focus on
each child as an individual with unique needs.
We have an onsite special education school with
small classroom sizes and a program that provides
for many breaks
and opportunity for achievement.
We are advantaged in our location to provide safety
for children who habitually run away or who are
in danger from their
current location. The natural environment, with
animals, trees, rivers and wide open spaces lends
itself to the life building
that our children need.
Our program is strongly staffed and programmed
for Aboriginal Youth. Our Aboriginal Resource person
has been
with us for over 20 years and contributes greatly
to the family atmosphere that we strive for.
We are accredited with the Canadian Accreditation
Council and received very high commendation for
our services in our
most recent accreditation.
We are committed to the goals of Child and Family
Services to provide safety for children and to
return them to the
care of a family in a timely manner.

Where
We Are: We are centrally located in the beautiful
foothills of Southern Alberta. The ranch is approx.
100 km from the City of Calgary, 23 km west of the
village of Longview on hwy #541. We are approximately
60 km west of High River and 160 km north of Lethbridge.

gifts and capabilities...we are committed to walking
along side them all through their journey towards
achieving their greatest potential."
