Welcome to Wartman Quarter Horses!

In 1966 we decided we must raise quarter horses.  The purchase of our first quarter horse stallion was Skip Scooter - a very pretty horse and powerful hip.  He had speed, agility and a good mind, sired by Skip-N-Scoot by Skipper W out of Sugar Belle by Gold Mount.

Since then our breeding objective has been to raise performance horses with good minds, big hips, deep girths, good withers, good feet and pretty heads - horses that have speed and athletic ability with quality movement at all gaits.  Our focus is reining and barrel racing but owners of our horses compete and win in Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Trail, Western Riding, Reining, Barrel Racing and English Events.

The versatility of our horses is a result of our training and breeding program.  Our breeding program includes the bloodlines of such well known sires as: King, Doc Bar, Docs Tom Thumb, Colonel Freckles, Doc O'Lena, Sugar Bars, Leo, Poco Bueno, Peppy San Badger, Docs Solano, and Rey Jay.

Our training program includes starting young horses, putting a solid foundation on them and then continuing their training to the competition level.  We train our own horses and customer horses as well.
