ALBERTA 50-50 POT O'GOLD FUTURITY PROSPECTS

specially selected for conformation, quality and disposition; Serious contenders for nearly $30,000 in prize money;
Priced from $1,500 (Canadian) for June 2006.
Founded by a group of prominent Alberta horse breeders in 2001 to promote their breeding programs and provide an opportunity to showcase their stock.
A group of selected weanlings are sold at auction each fall with only half of the proceeds going back to the breeder, the other half into the Pot O’ Gold.
- Colts are brought back by their new owners as two year olds to compete in three divisions:
- simple pattern under saddle
- conformation on halter
- western pleasure (rail) class
The 2005 winner took home a cheque for $9,036 with second place $5,722, third $4,216, fourth $3,012 with $602 paid for tenth spot. A pretty nice return!
We believe this selection of colts provide a wonderful opportunity to pick your favorite, go through the program, have some fun and win some money!
