Hi,

I was really intrigued by your blog and even more so when I saw these mustangs for sale. When I clicked on the Picture of Copper, I couldn't believe my eyes. That is my Copper mare. My husband picked her up in Edson in 2009 and she has been living on our farm south of Rocky Mountain House ever since. She is a lovely mare. She can be very shy and it has taken a lot of long hours to build trust with her but I am so glad she has come to our home.

What a treat to see her on this page. I would love to hear more about her if anyone has anymore information. Thanks so much.

Hi,
I am a horsewoman from KY moving to the Edmonton, AB area later this month. I would like to rescue or adopt a Mustang or two when I get up there. I already have a 16 yr. old BLM Mustang mare that I am bringing with me from the States. Anyone knowing of any Mustangs between the ages of 4-10, who are gentled &/or started (& who have not been horribly abused) please let me know. I'd love to add a couple more to our family.
I'd also really love to get involved with WHOAS, please let me know how I can help! Thank you..

Hi fellow equine enthusiasts. My 7 year old daughter has started a serious fundraising and awareness campaign for the wild mustang. We own a 4 year old mustang cross mare plus other lovely mares and geldings. Ella has decided to make a formal presentation at our Harvest Party the end of September to all the neighbourhood farmers.
If you could send her some information that would be great. She is having a table of info available to those who are interested in helping. Her sister and I will also have a bake table with the proceeds going to this. :)

throughout time horses have always been regarded by enlightened cultures to be sacred and the most beautiful in the animal kingdom. the thought of some pea-brained bronco shooting them down is unbearable to imagine. they are a great dignified majestic being and should be treated with such reverence and respect for their beauty, kindness and what they have given humans through the ages. where the hell are the laws to protect these our friends.

i agree with horselover all horses should run free and i want to take in all unwanted horses when i grow up. i have always loved horses. People shouldnt slaughter horses if they have to they should do it more humanely. i got a horse from a sale and i saw a beautiful white horse and it had a HUGE gash in its head i felt sooooo bad that i wanted it more than anything but my mom wouldnt let me get it.:(

I'm reading lots of comments from concerned people of all ages Question ? Are you on face book and have one or more friends? GREAT get it into your comments to ask your friends to help the last of a heritage that can never be replaced also part of the western horseman will be gone forever when these wildies are extinct!!! Its a simple thing to do go to WHOAS page where your MLAs name and address is listed. write them like I did. Challenge them to why they will or will not support the fight to get these horses protected. Public harrassment is the only way it's going to happen. If there is a way to really get people involved Face book is probably one of the best carriers of this message there is. IF YOU LOVE HORSES AND HERITAGE GET IN THE SADDLE NOW TOMORROW WILL BE TOO LATE!!! I am getting old and grey and just knowing that my one voice was a part of helping the Wildies will make me be proud being part of the fight. I'm not stopping here I and some other supporters will be putting an awareness booth together at a local mall in our small city JUST WATCH WHAT A FEW VOICES ARE GOING TO DO!!!!!
