Lean On Diamond Peppy Lean On Diamond Peppy
May 10, 2005    14.3 HH    APHA    sorrel tovero    Stallion

Lean On Diamond Peppy (Root) is the new addition to our stallion line up. His previous owners had him started in reining training as a 2 yr old but their focus changed after a couple of months and he was pulled out of training to a life of liesure in his pasture. When Cherokees Trophy passed away we were on the hunt for a new stallion and lucky for us they were willing to sell him. "Root" went back into training in November 2009 at Kim & Lisa Smith's. After showing him successfully at the APHA Zone 10 show in 2009 we brought "Root" home to start another career chasing cows. He was very interested in cattle and took to his new job of team penning and sorting very easily. "Root" is very cowy and very fun to ride. "Root" now has a number of fantastic foals on the ground and they are all proving to carry his awesome mind! They are all very trainable and so far the majority we have ridden have been very athletic and cowy. He will stand to the public to a limited number of mares this spring so if you are interested please give us a call. Note: Photos on this page taken by Arto Photography

Copper never was shown but his pedigree is awesome! His sire, West Coast Whiz, had NRHA earnings over $125,000, was 2000 NRHA Derby Res Champion; 2001 NRHA Derby Res. Champion and is a NRHA Million Dollar Sire. His dam's sire, Mr Freckles O Lena, had $ 11,000+ in NCHA earnings, produced offspring that have over $ 125,000 in NCHA earnings and over $ 26,000 in NRHA earnings. We have 3 crops of his foals on the ground now and they are very well built, correct, good looking, and easy to handle. People that have purchased his foals have commented on how easy they were to start. Sadly we lost Copper this summer (2022) so this is for reference only.

Man O Dude or "Doc", as we call him, has a pedigree that speaks for itself. With Doc O'Lena and Jewel's Leo Bars on his sires side he is definitely bred to work a cow. On his dam's side he has Major Bonanza and Lucky's Streak to add versatility and good looks. Doc was trained as a cutting horse but due to a stifle injury was never shown. He still enjoys sorting and cutting out a cow on his own if he gets the chance to mix with our cow herd. Doc was new to our program in 2004 so our first foals by him arrived in 2005 and they are very nice. They seem to have very nice temperments, have been very easy to halter break (smart), and are very good looking. All of his offspring have lots of get up and go and lots of cow sense as well! Sadly we lost Doc this past summer but we have quite a few of his daughters to pass on his cowy traits.

Cherokees Trophy Cherokees Trophy
May 22, 1996    14.3 HH    APHA    Brown Tobiano    Stallion

Cherokees Trophy, a.k.a. "Bubs" is our junior paint stallion. Although his reining career started late in his 3 yr old year he was able to earn his ROM in reining as a 4 yr old. At this point we decided to start using him as a breeding stallion so his reining career ended. We are confident that Bubs is homozygous for the tobiano gene, since he has produced 100% color on all of his foals to date and because of this his service comes with a live color foal guarantee. His foals all seem to be very athletic and are very good looking. Bubs stands to a limited number of outside mares for $500.00 and will be nominated to the Canadian Colors Futurity for 2008. It is with great sadness we have to report Bubs passed away very suddenly the summer of 2008 . He will be greatly missed.

OCP Easter Bunny a.k.a. "Franky" is our oldest paint stallion and has produced some awesome foals. Franky is very muscled and has a very pretty head with 2 blue eyes. He routinely adds a pretty head and nice round hips to his babies, as well as, lots of athletic ability. His foals all seem to have a natural ability to bury their butts into the ground to stop, can turn around quick, they have natural cow sense, and are very versatile. He has produced the 2004 APHA Zone 10 Paint O Rama Super Horse, the 2005 Reserve Champion at the 50/50 Pot O Gold Futurity plus the Hi Point Amateur Halter Gelding at the 2005 APHA Zone 10 Paint O Rama and numerous ranch and pleasure horses. We are sad to say Franky passed away in October of 2006 from a massive heart attack. He will be greatly missed as he has produced some excellent horses for us.
