Boon Doc Sally aka Lena was purchased in the fall of 2013.

Lena is a very fancy red roan mare with great confirmation and has an excellent personality.  She is super friendly and enjoys all forms of attention and will stop eating and walk over to be caught.  She is always ready to go to work.

This mare was purchased from Will Hanson and trained as a cutter and shown at the small futurities.  According to Will she has approximately $1000.00 in cutting earnings. 

Prior to us purchasing her she was also used to rope and doctor calves. 

She has been so much fun to learn on and practice new skills and try out new endeavours.  I have recently started team penning and sorting at a local arena for fun and experience.  Lena continues to teach me new things with each ride and is fairly patient with me as I have not worked cattle prior to the winter of 2013.  She definately knows more than me at this point!

July 19/2014 took Lena to her first Western Horse Show - boy did we have a great time and she handled things so well. Lena did excellent in the ring with all her courses.  When we went in the trail class she waled over the bridge, opened the gate, pulled the sled with the balloons attached to it, , walked over to a barrel and we open an umbrella and walked over and put it into a bucket and finally walked through the U shape around the kids swimming pools. She really did so well.

Lena continues to be hauled to different arenas and takes everything in with no issues.  I ride Lena out in the field both alone and with others.  She handles everything well.  I even took her out into a swamp and sunk her up to her belly in the mud with out any issues. 

Lena is quite versatile and can be ridden by most.  Both Matt and Lexie ride her as well as myself.  This mare is a real sweetheart.

November 1/2014 took Lena to a fun Halloween day at the Magrath Ag Society.  Dressed up as Gumpy she was my Pokey.  She did so well, she looked at me like I was a little odd but had no issues with the costume whatsoever.  Did a couple little patterns and just overall had a great time.  It was a great day.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

 Lena has had her 5 panel genetic testing completed.  She is N/N for HYPP, HERDA,GBED,MH but does have 1 copy of the PSSM Gene.  As she is not 5 panel N/N she does not fit in to our program and is therefore being offered for sale.
