PRICE REDUCED to $15,000.00 Mikey is being offered for sale as an excellent "kid" approved horse. He is an 8 year old gelding approximately 14.1 HH. Originallyt trained by Dale Clearwater as a working cow horse, we have used him for team penning and ranch sorting, rounding up cattle and trail rides. He is one of the nicest and kindest horses that we have owned. He is easy to ride, well broke and very sound minded. Any level of rider could have a great time with this horse. One year ago he foundered after we fed him fed feed that was too high in alfalfa content. He has completely recovered and has remained sound all this season as we have competed on him in team penning. He will need to be managed in terms of keeping him off real rich pasture/grass and avoiding over rich feed with too much alfalfa. After recovering, he has stayed sound and healthy. Any potential buyer is welcome to check all vet records and speak with our veterinarian. Reason for selling is that I am bringing up a new filly in team penning, so I am letting him go to the next fortunate family who can enjoy this horse. He is one of those horses that does not come along very often in terms of how safe he is to ride. He would be a great 4-H horse or youth mount, and he is very comfortable among cattle.
