Scratch is the total package. He has looks, breeding, athleticism, size, and personality to boot. 15-1.5HH, 1250lbs. 2017 gelding out of working parents on top and bottom side. He meets you at the gate and pretty much halters himself, he’s gentle enough for all riders, and can rise to whatever level is asked of him. He’s happy to go for a nice easy ride, work cattle in the pasture or branding pen, or roping in the arena. I bought scratch as a 2-year-old with 60 days of reining training and have been working with him for the past 6 years. He’s a very solid breakaway horse that is great in the box, scores well, runs hard and can really get in the ground. He’s also a solid heading horse, he spent some time withTuftin Mcleod a couple of winters ago, and has been rode at jackpots. Up to date on farrier, teeth, worming and vaccines. Sire: has LTE $62,250 in the reining, son of 9-million-dollar Colonels Smoking Gun.

Dam: Was a money earning reining horse and has raised money earners in the cow-horse, NRHA, and team roping including Derek Hadland’s good heading horse.
