Boots is a horse who loves working cattle and needs a job, he will go all day. He is not a beginners horse. He would make a great high school or college rodeo horse for someone else as he was for me. He has been used to sort, move, and rope cattle on pasture and in the arena. I have used him in college rodeos, ranch rodeos (team sorting, three man doctoring, ranch reining), trail rides, overnight camping, some light horse classes, ranch shows (ranch on the rail, ranch pattern), and I've even taken him skijoring! -14.2 Hands -CBHI eligible, however I am not a barrel racer and have not started him on barrels. -He has been headed off, and breakaway roped off in college rodeos and handles it well. He is started behind the barrier. -He's been to roping jackpots. For reference, I am a #4 roper and we have roped in #7-10.5 jackpots. -He is fine to ride out or alone -Stands good for the farrier. Has great strong black feet. -loads, hauls, bathes, stands tied. -easy keeper, no maintenance needed. UTD on vaccines, teeth, coggins, deworming. He has a scar on his right front leg but it does not affect him in any way. Videos upon request.
He is located near Stettler Alberta, I am willing to haul to BC (Kamloops/Fraser Valley area) as I have family there.
