School Tours

School Tours
Making rope

Our school tours include many things to do.  First of all you can tour our village and discuss with the students the way we did things in the past and how that differs from what we do now.  After our tour we will show you how to make rope and grind wheat into flour for baking. We have farm animals and gardens to see how the Pioneers would have provided food and worked on the farm.  We also have games to play and at the end of the day you can choose clothes of the past from the Dressup Shop and pose for a class picture.  We feel it is a very educational day and a fun day also.  Give us a call and we can set up a day that will suit you class.  The admission fee is $5.00 a person.  If you would like a wagon ride  it is $10.00 a person and that also includes the musuem tour.

We love it when Seniors come.  You have some amazing stories to tell and I can convey them back to the school students which is great.  When we go on the wagon rides we like to hand the reins over to the teamsters in the group to bring back memories of when you worked the fields with horses.  Our picnic area is a hit also, so many haven't had the opportunity to roast a wiener over a fire for many years and I enjoy bringing out my guitar and sing the campfire songs with you while the fire is burning.  Our washrooms and most of the buildings are walker friendly.  Give us a call and we will set up a day that will suit your group for fun and relaxation.  Admisson for the museum is $5.00 a person or if you want to add the wagon ride with the museum tour it is  $100.00 minimum for the first 10 people or less and $10.00 a person  above that.  Happy Trails

Beautiful Day

We have a quaint little Wedding Chapel and a Gazebo in our village.   It will hold 1000 people , 8 at a time.  Beautiful stained glass windows and roses blooming at the door and big double doors so you can see inside from the lawn area.  Our Visa V is an added touch pulled by our quarter horse mares.  Very nostalgic and memorable.  Give us a call and we can set up a date for you to come out and see our peaceful little town and romantic little chapel.
