Formerly, Glory J Ranch, was owned and operated by my parents, Bill and Claire Jesse. My husband and I built our home on their land 2 years ago and have assisted in the ranch management since that time. On November 1, 2012 my parents retired and we purchased the ranch from them. We have decided to keep the name Glory J Ranch as the name means alot to me. Grab the Glory was the first horse we ever bought, which belonged to myself, and who taught me so much about horses ;)
Babes, my first horse, was a 16 hand Appendix Quarter Horse. We started out in Pony Club where I took part in jumping, dressage and cross country. My diligent father took me wherever we needed to go, including to summer games where he slept in his truck. Soon enough, he bought a half sister to Babes and we started Gymkana together. That horse eventually got sold as a barrel horse, and did quite well. Over the years I have trained in reining and most recently, cutting.
Todd grew up on a dairy farm and learned to ride at a young age. His first horse was a Shetland Pony. Originally he trained in Western Pleasure but is definately more drawn to cutting at this point. He shows one of his horses, Kats Legacy, in the Central Cutting Association and does quite well.
I am a stay at home mom to my twin girls, first and foremost, but also run the farm while my husband is at work. In addition to the horses, we run a herd of cattle and buffalo, breed sheep and goats and have a flock of chickens and turkeys. My other love is my boxers in which i train, show and breed with the kennel name Zwilling Boxers (which is German for twins). Todd is a small animal veterinarian and is one of the owners of Crestwood Veterinary Center and the Pain and Rehab Center in Edmonton, AB.
Most of our free time is spent on the farm and we love every minuit of it ;)
