GD Silverado King

Silverado has been color tested, E/e, a/a, N/Cr and D/N. He also carries the roan gene.

Silverado has been 5 panel tested and is N/G for GBED, N/N for HERDA, HYPP, MH and PSSM1.

Studies show that the mutation responsible for GBED is carried by as many as 10% of Quarter Horse, Paint Horse breeds and related breeds. GBED is an autosomal recessive trait, meaning a foal can only be affected if the foal inherits the disease from both parents. Horses that are carriers of the GBED have one copy of the mutation but do not have any symptoms associated with the disorder.

Silverado was born and raised here. He should mature around 15.2hh.He carries the quiet temperament of both his dam and sire. We are very pleased with him and look forward to training him. We would like to get a couple of foals out of him.

He is line bred but with that being said he is already one hell of a horse, he is still growing and I’m hoping he has his dams build (Beta Blue Bar). He is very calm and willing to please.

His pedigree goes back to Colonel Freckles, Peppy San, Doc O’Lena, King and Poco Bueno on his sires side and King and Poco Bueno on his dams side.
