INSTRUCTIONS for the ALL PURPOSE and HUNTER/JUMPER TAIL EXTENSION

Sparks Honey Dust1) Lift the top part of the hair up and fasten with a large hair clip. Place the tail extension as close to the tail bone as possible about a third of the way down or where you have top hair to cover the three holes. Pull strands of hair through the 3 holes at the top. A crochet hook works well for this. Put an elastic on the three strands, pull it tight, then braid about 1 inch and secure with another elastic.

Honey2) Midway down the extension are another 3 holes. Pull hair through these holes, put an elastic on, pull tight and braid 1 inch and secure with elastic. By doing this the extension moves with the natural tail and becomes one.

Try to practice putting in the extension before a show so you can see how it looks and make adjustments. Make sure the tail doesn't drag on the ground. If it does, move it up or trim it so your horse doesn't step on it while backing up. If the grommets are noticeable, you can darken them with permanent marker or you can paint them.

It is not a good idea to leave the tail extension in overnight, as damge may occur to the extension or your horses natural tail. If you notice the tail catching between the legs when he moves, use a spray such as Show Sheen or Static Guard on the inside of the legs.
