Kim was an excellant performer and sire. He was talented but everyone seemed obligated to mention how plain looking he was. Back then, horses weren't so specialized so you judged a horse against the whole industry as opposed to their own specialties. Compared to some of the top Reining and cow horses today he's pretty fancy. 

Sired many top performers such as  Okie Chex, Jae Bar Okie, Meesan Okie Bailey, Merit Award,Kim's Kay Bar, Kim's Sweet Okie etc. Even a few halter winners like Kim's Pica Dandy and Kim's Major Lady.
