Welcome Ruger to Two Rivers Ranch. We are excited to have had the opportunity to purchase this exceptional horse from Kevin Baumann at Pepisko Ranch in Red Deer. He has everything we were looking for to cross on our herd, good bone, nice head, short back, and colour. And then theres his pedigree, Wow! Hes by Sweet Lil Pepto, an NCHA money earner by Peptoboonsmal and Smart Lil Lena. On the bottom side out of Miss Silver Pistol(by Docs Hickory)who won over $500,000 in the 80s, and has produced great horses such as Playgun. Rugers three year olds will be ready to go to the cutting pen this year, so we are excited to see them in action. Canadian Supreme Nominated. While most of his focus has been on producing great cutters, we know his colts will be great in other disciplines such as ranch horse versatility, and the roping pen. Watch for his colts in upcoming years at the Cypress Hills Registered Horse Breeders sale third saturday of September in Maple Creek. |
