Doug 411M is a son of UK ram, Piddington Douglas and out of a daughter of British ram, Brereton Nairn. The dam's side of the pedigree traces through many of the top ewes in our flock. 411M is a ram that should sire some real good replacement females. He is thick and deep so should also add some muscle to his sons. He is a ram we have considered using and only due to having so many females in the flock who are maternally related, we have decided to offer Doug for sale. AI sired rams do not come available that often, especially with so much breed character. Buy with confidence. AUG. 9 WEIGHT 142 LBS SCROTAL 31.5 CM

Lots of breed character, sired by my main flock sire who traces to Bennachie Nimrod, a British ram that worked very well for me. The dam is sired by Tattykeel 80/97 an older Australian line, who in my opinion has more maternal than a lot of the more modern Austalain Polled Dorsets. I like the combination of British on the 80/97 daughters. Scrapie genotype RR.

We have been culling very hard in the Shropshires. This guy made the cut and has been grown out slowly for longevity. His dam has been lambing on our accelerated program, lambing every 8 months. She lambed again in January and is now just bred back for September. We get a few more singles doing this. The ewes in this pedigree have been very productive for us and accelerate well. He is a long and deep bodied ram with a great future ahead of him. Weight 188 lbs, scrotal 33.5 cm.

This is the ram lamb that I decided to keep and use. His sire is 22495 who has only a very few offspring in Canada. The dam is a realy productive ewe sired by Bennachie Nimrod, making 430M 3/4 British. A powerful, solid ram to infuse more UK genetics into my flock. This guy has pretty good length and i expect great things out of him on the 807/N3 (British) and Tattykeel 80-97 (Australian) daughters. He weighed 125 lb on June 10th. One of only 2 sons off 22495, in Canada as far as I am aware. Outcross genetics with all the breed character and structure that i am looking for.

Here is a fall ewe lamb with lots of breed character. She is out of my best Bennachie Nimrod (British ram) daughter and out of a Tattykeel 80/97 daughter whose dam goes back to Huish Nugget, another British ram that did well for my flock. She was going to be a replacement until the decison to go to the Classic was made. I do occasionally have second thoughts about selling her, but I think she will represent my flock well, so here she is. Almost forgot to mention, I kept a maternal brother for a flock sire. Likely the first son of Brereton Torry to sell in North America. Brereton Torry is a massively made British ram who sired a really nice crop of lambs for us. On the dam's side you will find a really good ewe 173F, who is on our accelerated program. 173F traces back to two other British rams, Hornpipe Blackbird (Badger 148D's sire) and Brereton Nairn (134D's sire and from the same flock as Brereton Torry). This is a ram that should be a top flock sire, with lots of maternal as well as growth. I debated about keeping him to use but have too many rams already.

A fall ewe lamb sired by one of my imported British sired rams from Janicki's in Washington. Green 20 is sired by Richhill Axel, which makes him an outcross to most if not all British genetics in Canada. The dam side goes back to having all four grandsires being British rams. So this young lady is very heavily influenced by British genetics. She would be welcome to stay but I can't keep them all. Scrapie genotype RR.

Here is a young ram sired by the New Zealand ram, Douglas Downs 77/95. The dam is a tank of a ewe, not tall but lots to her. She has been lambing every 8 months and traces back to two British rams that I have used quite successfully in my flock. The Poorton 996G daughters are hard to beat. I think this guy is a pretty neat package, with some stretch and thickness and a pedigree that says traditional and maternal. Scrapiue genotype QR.

Nico 484N Sept. 4

Lakeland College Sheep Club with Sheep Trax Nico 484N

Nico 484N prepped for CWA, Nov. 13, 2025.
Of the five January 233K sons, this is the one that most resembles his sire. As soon as I see him, I know he is a 233K son. He has both the foundation ram and the first-generation ram on his pedigree, so he is close to the foundation of the breed. His growth was great, and his loin scan was too. Though his CARC index is only in the 69th percentile, this is due to his being a little heavy on the back fat; however, his loin measurement is in the 92nd percentile. He has stretch and a nice wide top, his loin is very long, and on loin scanning day the depth was 31.1 mm.

SOLD!.... But wait!
Look for this ram in the 2025 Canadian Western Agribition Sheep Show and Sale in Regina, exhibited in the purebred show and consigned to the sale by the Lakeland College Sheep & Stuff Club.
CWA SSBA Sheep Sale is Nov. 29th, and there will be online bidding via DLMS.
UPDATE- the last four photos are from Nov. 13th, and look at the job they have done! He looks phenomenal, and I am so looking forward to seeing him show and sell at Agribition!
Sale day at CWA I hope to see lots of people taking an interest in this ram. Let's see who takes him home!

Nolan 490N Sept. 4

490N in late September.

490N in late September.
On loin scanning day, 490N was the heaviest of the five 233K sons, and in fact of the whole group of 15 ram lambs, only two ouweighed him. He is a bit of a bruiser, great heavy bone and loads of muscle. (Please take note, in the photo where he looks hump-backed, he is busy bawling, they always look humpy when they're bawling, the photo was bad timing on my part.) This guy knew how to grow, and that is not just a testament to his sire, but also to the great milking of his mother. The 15H daughters are a maternal line, and good milking means growth- his 50 day Gain is in the 96th percentile. Add in the 233K ram as a sire, and you can't really go wrong- his 50-100 day Gain is in the 97th percentile. (His twin sister was no slouch, either.)

Finally, I had a group of 161L sons to offer. Of the 15 January ram lambs selected to keep or sell for breeding, five were sired by Luke 161L. That ram was my chosen 943G son, and I have never regretted that decision.
The Sky Blue 4211J ewe is a bit of a sleeper, she is one of those ewes you don't notice, she just sort of sits in the crowd, doing her thing. She likes to have singles, though she has had twins, and she doesn't like to lamb out of season, so I found myself not expecting great things, and then she did this. His 50-day weight (atrributed more to the dam's milking) was in the 84th percentile. This lamb grew like a weed, and you couldn't help but notice him. He is super smooth, has great bone, and a really nice loin and hindquarter. Type-wise he follows in the footsteps of his sire and grandsire, looking just like them. HIs 50-100 day Gain (atrributed to genetics and sire influence) is in the 90th percentile.
**UPDATE-watch for the maternal numbers to take a nice jump on this guy. His dam, Sky Blue 4211J, after I posted the comment about her not having a lot of twins and not liking to lamb out of season, just decided to prove I was a bit hasty. She had triplets in August, and she raised them!
I love everything about this ram. He may not be the biggest, or the heaviest, but when you look at the overall animal, it's the smoothness and correctness that strikes you. Conformation and structure matter too, and his percentiles are still good even if they are not in the high 90s. There are other things in life besides numbers.
When comparing this ram to the 490N ram, and the 484N ram who has sold, you can see that the 233K sons are flashier, showier, bigger framed, etc. But this guy is your market lamb producer. His loin is easily as wide as those of the 233K sons, and maybe even a little longer. He has a super twist and will be a top market lamb producer for somebody (but don't rule out keeping sons and daughters).
I want to offer this ram as a yearling in the 2026 Badlands Spring Select. I won't rule out selling him privately, but the price has gone up.

Here is a nice fall born ewe lamb who traces back on the sire side to British ram Sandy Knowe Trent, through 300L who was the high selling Suffolk ram in the 2024 Badlands Select Spring Sale. The dam 276K, is sired by Semiahmoo Jacob who was purchased through the online Classic sale. 439M in late September.
This is a fall-born ram that had some kind of injury, probably from a fight, so I decided to pull him out of the Badlands Select Sale. However, he is now completely recovered. The concern was if his fertility was affected by a combination of discomfort, stress, and heat. So I had him semen tested at OC Flock Management, and he pased with flying colors.
A pedigree chock-full of the foundation and first-generation AI sires. I can't go wrong when I breed a Canon to a Polly (or a Pol to a Candy), and this ram's sire, Canon 941G, is knocking it out of the park consistently. 941G is the sire of the Champion Canadian Arcott Ewe at the 2025 All Canada Classic in Brandon, making this ram her half-brother. Forgetting who his sire was, I took one look at his photos and I knew, this is a 941G son. Which translates to thickness, muscle, and a top like a table.
There are certain breeders who prefer a larger frame with longer legs, and there are breeders who prefer a more moderate sized, heavier-boned, low-slung, shorter-legged style of Canadian Arcott. This guy is the latter, so if that is your type, this could be your ram. His 50-100 day Gain is in the 88th percentile. His dam was the mother of the high-selling ram in the 2024 Badlands Spring Select.
His sire Sheep Trax Canon 941G is currently at OC Flock Management for semen collection.

I was hoping this girl, the only female in a litter of five, would have inherited the dilute gene from her mother, but unfortunately she did not. So, since she was going to be kept for producing blue kittens, which she cannot do, she has now been offered for sale.
If you like the snows, it's important to understand that seal sepia is the darkest (often looks just like light brown), seal lynx is the lightest with the true blue eyes, and seal mink is the combination of sepia and lynx that falls in between. The eyes may be aqua that look bluish but they are not true blue; their markings are darker than a lynx but lighter than a sepia.
This little girl has a super-sweet temperament, loves attention and is quick to purr. She reminds me a lot of her dear late grandmother Smudge, who was a very friendly, loving cat. Ready mid-November, after second shots.
If a seal mink interests you, let me know asap! Use sheepncats66@hotmail.com to bypass the Junk folder!
