Developing Partnerships through Respect “Recognizing Teachable Moments”

Great for staff of one school, teachers from same classes in one division; all Resource Room Teachers or Grade Seven Teachers just as some examples of group composition. We can guide our students through to becoming better individuals if we     recognize teachable moments through identifying specific horse behaviors and the mirror they provide into increasing awareness of strengths and gaps in facilitating learning.

OBJECTIVES:

This workshop will focus on the Equine Centre's BuildingBlock™ Equine-Assisted Learning Program Series© which was created to supplement educational programs like yours; to provide teachers with an opportunity to strengthen their existing leadership skills, life skills and special needs program delivery. We hope you will leave with a understanding of equine-assisted learning's benefits; understand how effective teachable moments are to a young person's life; how teachers return to the classroom and reinforce the lesson's concept throughout the week; understand the difference between teaching and facilitation ‘coaching’ vs. ‘coaxing’; learn facilitation's positive effect and lasting result;
