BLUE BOY DOC Mar 1982- Dec 2011
"If a breeder is really lucky he will get to own one great horse in his lifetime...
one that makes it all worthwhile! Thanks Blue" Greg
Special thanks for the music to Ryan Fritz "I'll Be Moving On" off his
album One Last Horse
It was with much sadness we said good-bye to our beloved
Blue this past December. We thank all you who bred to him
over the years. Those of you who knew him knew what a truly
special little horse he was. Greg has always said that a
good stallion should out-breed himself, producing even
better offspring than he was. If that is true it is without
a doubt that Blue did that, making him a GREAT sire.
We are now expecting our last foal crop by Blue Boy Doc and
we have a selection of prospects by him.
Blue Boy Doc was a NCHA money earner and producer of NCHA, NRHA
winners and World Champion Producer of APACHE BLUE BOY 6
Time World Champion Rope Horse. He was
Canada's only son of DOCS PRESCRIPTION, a NCHA leading sire and sire of both
World Champion Cutting Horse and World Champion Pleasure Horse.
BLUE BOY DOC was our grandfather sire, he sired the prettiest foals with the
biggest hips. He had sired many money earning foals in several
disciplines and
also high selling horses at many different sales. These included 7 year old
gray
gelding bringing $7900 at Manitoba's Breeders Sale Spring 2002, 9 year old
gray
stallion bringing $8700 U.S. at Billing's Livestock August 2003, and 6 year old
gray gelding bringing $l7,500 in a production sale in Las Vegas, Nevada fall of
2002.
