Equine Assisted Learning (E.A.L.) Training Programs
Youth/Student

[Up] [Youth/Student] [Corporate/Business/Organizations] [Teachers] [Marital/Family] [Continuing Education] [Printable Forms] [Sponsor] [Feedback]

Sabre offers a Certified BuildingBlockTM Learning Program Series© which was nationally certified by the Saskatchewan Horse Federation and Equine Canada, the National Certification enables these students to gain credit through Saskatchewan Education; past participants who have participated in the EAL for credit have been those in the STAR program, Bridges Program, Alternative Education Program, Life-Skills Program and Learning Through Purpose Program. These programs enroll in a minimum of the 16 week program for meaningful credit. Credit usually requires an additional $15.00 and all pertinent information of person(s) wishing to gain credit. Our organization then forwards this to Cartier’s Equine Center (which Sabre Equine Centre is certified through) and the information regarding the focus of the participant(s) training. Cartier’s forwards this to Saskatchewan Education and the appropriate credit is applied.

Funding for this training has been successfully obtained through discretionary funds available in Health-“Healing Foundation” and Education-“New Paths” and “Brighter Futures”

Equine-assisted programs have been proven successful, acknowledged by the Federal and Provincial Governments and cutting edge in their delivery attempts. Nowhere in the world has there been a certified equine-assisted program, unified to provide continuity in the training and delivery, until now.
